Range

Tasman Sea and s. Pacific Ocean; Distribution centered in New Zealand waters;
Breeds on Three Kings Is. off North Island, New Zealand and Chatham Is.
Disperses e. across the s. Pacific to the w. coast of South America in the Humboldt Current off Peru and Chile.
'Platei' said to breed on Solander and Snares Is. and disperse n. of the Antarctic Convergence to New Zealand (North and South Islands, Stewart Is.) as far as se. Australia (Victoria off Portland and New South Wales), Tasmania.
