Range

Ne. Asia and Japan;
Two major populations;
(1) Ne. Asia in c. and e. Siberia, ne. China (n. Manchuria) s. to Lake Baikal and e. to Sakhalin Is. and the Sea of Okhotsk.
Winters in se. Asia and Java.
(2) Japan (Hokkaido s. to c. Honshu).
Winters in s. China, Thailand, Malaysia, Indochina and the Greater Sundas.
