Range
Sw. and sc. United States, nw. and nc. Mexico;
Two populations;
(1) Sw. United States (se. California, and ex. s. Nevada, to c. Arizona), nw. Mexico and ne. Baja near San Felipe, and tentatively, islands in the Gulf of California (Angel de la Guarda, Coronado, San Esteban).
(2) S. United States (s. Utah, c. Arizona, sw. Colorado, c. New Mexico, w. and s. Texas in the Rio Grande Valley) s. on Mexican Plateau (Sonoran and Chihuahuan deserts to s. Sonora, s. Durango, possibly n. Jalisco, Guanajuato, San Luis Potosi, wc. Hidalgo, and sw. Tamaulipas).
(3) Tiburon Is. (Santa Margarita Is.).
