Range

W. coast of South America;
Breeds on the guano is. off wc. Peru (Lobos de Tierra and Lobos de Afuera off n. Piura) s. to 33.5°S in n. Chile, sw. Santiago Province (small colony on Pupuya Islet) and Mocha Is. off Arauco.
During winter, it wanders s. along the coast of Chile from Arica to Valdivia as far s. as Chiloe Is.
