Range

S. South America and Falkland Is.;
(1) C. Chile (n. Valparaiso and Santiago to Chiloe) and se. Bolivia (chaco), s. Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul), Paraguay, Uruguay s. to c. Argentina s. to Rio Nego and perhaps Chubut.
(2) C. Chile s. from Aysen, and c. Argentina to Chubut and Tierra del Fuego and the Falkland Is.
Winters n. in Chile to Santiago and Valparaiso, Argentina in Santa Fe, Entre Rios, Buenos Aires, Uruguay and s. Brazil.
