S. tropical South America;
C. Paraguay, n. Argentina s. to Buenos Aires Province and in Chile from Santiago to Valdivia.
Disperses during winter to e. Bolivia (Santa Cruz), Paraguay, Uruguay, se. Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul), c. Chile (Santiago to Valdivia) and e. and c. Argentina (Cordoba, Santa Fe, Santiago del Estero, Entre Rios, La Pampa and Buenos Aires).
