Range
Sw. Australia; Se. Australia;
Two populations;
S. of 25°S in sw. Australia in sw. Western Australia s. of the Gascoyne River, then from Shark Bay, occasionally King Sound, to Esperance and w. of a line roughly from Lake Carnegie to Israelite Bay. S. of 30°S in se. Australia locally in sw. and se. Queensland (between Glenormiston and Birdsville), n. New South Wales s. of a rough line from Lake Bathurst, upper Lachlan River, Ivanhoe and Broken Hill (gathers at Lake George), Victoria and c. and e. South Australia (s. of the Murray River, Murrumbidgee and w. to Spencer Gulf, Narrung, Coorang, Lake Eyre, Cooper Creek) and Tasmania. Regularly reported in small numbers from all districts of New Zealand.
