Range
Hawaiian Is.;
Ex. restricted range;
Kauai in the Hanalei Valley (most easily observed at Hanalei National Wildlife Refuge) and at Alakoko Pond in the Huleia Valley.
Formerly occurred on all main Hawaiian Is.
Reintroduced to Oahu (Kahuku area, Waialua and Pearl Harbor) and Hawaii (Ranch Reservoir along the Keanakolu Road going to the Hakalau Forest National Wildlife Refuge and the Mana Road Pond near Waimea).
