Nw. Africa; Africa s. of the Sahara; India;
Three populations;
(1) Se. Iran, Pakistan (Baluchistan), s. Nepal, India and Sri Lanka and possibly n. Burma.
(2) Nw. and c. Africa in Morocco, n. Algeria and locally in sw. Mauritania, Senegambia e. through Mali, Burkina Faso, c. and s. Niger, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, Central African Republic, s. Chad, c. and s. Sudan to Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, sw. Arabia s. to n. Zaire and n. Kenya.
(3) Sc. and s. Africa from s. Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania and s. Zaire s. to Angola, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe s. to c. South Africa.
