Range
Sw. India, Sri Lanka; Se. Asia, Philippines, Greater Sundas and Lesser Sundas;
Fragmented population;
(1) S. Himalayas in Nepal and Sikkim to ne. India (Assam and Manipur). Sw. India (w. Ghats from c. Goa and n. Mysore s. to Kerala) and Sri Lanka.
(2) S. Burma, nw. and sw. Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, s. Vietnam, se. China (Hainan Is.), Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Java, Bali, Borneo, Sumbawa where may only be a migrant, Sulawesi, n. and c. Philippines (Luzon, Mindoro, Marinduque, Tablas, Sibuyan, Samar, Palawan, Panay and Negros).
Recorded from Flores, Lesser Sundas and Ternate, n. Moluccas.
