India to se. Asia, Sundas, Philippines, New Guinea, is. of sw. Pacific and n. Australia;
Many populations;
(1) Pakistan, Nepal, India, Sri Lanka to se. China (Hupeh and Kiangu s. to s. Yunnan, Kwangsi and Kwangtung), Thailand, Indochina and the Andaman Is.
(2) Malaysia and Indonesia to Java, Borneo and the Philippines.
(3) New Guinea, the Bismarck Archipelago and n. and e. Australia from n. Western Australia s. to Carnavon, Northern Territory, e. to Queensland and s. to New South Wales (Hunter River).
(4) Solomon Is.
