Chad (Lake Chad), c. Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia and w. to e. Zaire, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya (Serengeti National Park and Mara Game Reserve), Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia, Angola and n. South Africa (n. Cape Province, Transvaal, n. Natal).
