Africa s. of the Sahara, se. Mediterranean Basin, w. and s. Arabia;
(1) Ex. sw. Morocco, s. Mauritania, Senegambia, sw. Mali, Burkina Faso, c. and s. Niger, Ivory Coast, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Central African Republic, c. and s. Chad (Lake Chad), c. Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia and w. to e. Zaire, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya (Serengeti National Park and Mara Game Reserve), Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia, Angola and n. South Africa (n. Cape Province, Transvaal, n. Natal).
(2) Egypt and n. Sudan.
(3) S. Israel (Sinai Peninsula) and the Arabia Peninsula (Saudi Arabia, Mahazat as-Sayd Reserve, and Oman).
