Two widely separated populations;
(1) N. Central African Republic and e. Zaire to ex. se. Sudan, c. and e. Ethiopia, Somalia, ne. Uganda, Kenya and nc. Tanzania.
(2) S. Angola, Namibia, sw. Botswana and nw. South Africa in the Namib Desert, Kalahari Desert and w. Transvaal, w. Orange Free State and n. Cape Province.
