Fragmented distribution;
S. Nigeria (e. of Niger River), is. in the Gulf of Guinea, s. Cameroon, Gabon, Congo, ex. nw. Angola, Zaire, s. Central African Republic to s. Sudan, w. Ethiopia, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya (Mt. Elgon, Mt. Nyiru and Cheranganis s. to Mara Game Reserve, Nairobia suburbs, Chyulu Hills, Ngurumans and Arusha National Park), Tanzania (Usambara Mountains, Uzungwa Mountains), and n. Malawi (Vipya Plateau).
