Range
Tropical South America;
Fragmented distribution with about 12 populations in regions surrounding the Amazon flowage;
(1) N. Colombia, n. and s. Venezuela, Trinidad, Guyana, Surinam and Guiana.
(2) E. and s. Brazil (Bahia, Chapada Diamantina) to ex. se. Peru, n. and e. Bolivia, Paraguay and n. Argentina (Tucuman, Misiones, Buenos Aires).
