Unforested tropical Africa;
(1) Sw. Mauritania, s. Mali, Senegambia, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, s. Niger, Cameroon, Central African Republic, s. Chad, s. Sudan and Uganda.
(2) W. and c. Ethiopia and Eritrea.
(3) E. Zaire, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, w. Kenya, w. Tanzania to Angola, n. Namibia, n. and e. Botswana and South Africa (Natal, Transvaal, n. Orange Free State).
