Europe from British Isles and Scandinavia e. across n. Russia and n. Siberia to Anadyrland and Kamchatka s. in the Mediterranean region, Turkey, w. and n. Iran, Afghanistan and the Himalayas, Mongolia, w., c. and n. China Ussuriland, Kuril Is., Sakhalin and Japan.
Winters s. to s. Africa (Uganda), c. Asia, the Philippines and Australia (Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria (Portland Harbor) and South Australia), Tasmania.
