Chukchi Sea coast of the e. Siberia (e. Chukotski Peninsula w. to Cape Schmidta) s. to n. Sea of Okhotsk and ne. Kamchatka Peninsula (Tavuvnan Mountains) and Alaska from Cape Lisburne and Point Hope s. to Aleutians, Katmai National Park and e. to Glacier Bay and the Stileine River.
Winters from n. Japan (Hokkaido), Kuril Is., e. Siberia to the Aleutians and Glacier Bay.
