Range

Israel, Arabia, most of Africa s. of the Sahara and Madagascar;
Two main populations and fragmented populations in the n. of it range;
(1) Senegamabia and Mauritania e. through s. Algeria, Mali, c. Niger, c. Chad and se. Egypt, c. and s. Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia and Arabia, Socotra Is., Kenya s. to Namibia and South Africa (Cape Province).
Recently established in Israel.
(2) Madagascar.
