Range

N. and c. South America;
Two small populations in the n. part of range with major population in s.;
(1) E. Panama, nw., n. and e. Colombia, w. Venezuela, Ecuador (La Selva Lodge and Napo Wildlife Center) to Peru (Tambopata River, Madre de Dios, Puno), n. and e. Bolivia (Rio Itenez) and Amazonian c. Brazil (se. Bahia, Mato Grosso (Alta Floresta)).
(2) E. Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam and Guiana and ne. Brazil.
