C. to s. Central America, n. and Amazonian South America. Se. Brazil;
Three populations;
(1) Se. Mexico (Gulf-Caribbean slope s. from Vercruz, s. Campeche and n. Oaxaca) to nw. Honduras.
(2) Sula Valley, Honduras, e. slope of Nicaragua and both slopes of Costa Rica and w. Panama.
(3) E. Panama and Colombia to nw. and e. Ecuador (Napo Wildlife Center), w. and sc. Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam, Guiana, Amazonian Brazil, e. Peru (Tambopata River, Madre de Dios, Puno), n. and e. Bolivia. Se. Brazil (e. Bahia).
