Two populations;
(1) Alaska to nw. Canada (c. Yukon, nw. and s. Mackenzie, s. Keewatin and n. Manitoba) to ne. Oregon, Idaho and nw. Montana.
Winters s. to Texas.
(2) Coastal se. Alaska to n. California.
(3) Coastal c. California s. to nw. Baja.
(4) S. Baja.
(5) W. Canada (nw. British Columbia, Mackenzie e. to Hudson Bay and n. Ontario) s. at least to wc. United States (Wyoming and North Dakota). Possibly this race, intermediates between this race, (1) and (6), or unnamed races occur s. in the United States to Arizona, New Mexico and sw. Texas (Guadalupe Mountains).
(6) C. California (San Joaquin Valley) and deserts in se. California e. to w. Kansas and s. in Mexico to Guerrero and w. Veracruz.
(7) Ne. Canada (n. Quebec, Labrador and Newfoundland) s. to Great Lakes.
(8) Se. Canada (Ontario e. to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island) to ec. United States from Minnesota, e. Kansas and e. Texas e. to Florida.
(9) Yucatan Peninsula.
(10) S. Mexico from the Isthums of Tehuantepec s. to w. Panama.
