N. and Amazonian South America and e. Brazil;
Fragmented distribution with disjunct major population;
(1) E. Panama, w. Colombia and w. Ecuador.
(2) Colombia, Venezuela, Trinidad, Guyana, Surinam, Guiana to e. Peru, Amazonian Brazil and n. Bolivia.
(3) Se. Brazil (c. and e. Bahia, Chapada Diamantina).
