Sw. Canada, w. United States; C. Mexico;
Two populations;
(1) W. and c. Canada (sc. British Columbia, c. Alberta, c. Saskatchewan and sw. Manitoba s. to the s. United States (s. California, nc. Utah, sw. Colorado, sw. and ne. New Mexico, w. Nebraska, nw. Iowa, w. Minnesota and ec. Wisconsin).
(2) Cw. and sc. Mexico from Chihuahua and Durango s. to n. Guerrero, Puebla and San Luis Potosi. Winters along the Pacific coast from se. Alaska, Canada, United States (locally in the interior to Nevada) and Mexico to Baja and Guerrero.
